Tess Daly chats to Lucy Gornall about ditching diets, fat days and THOSE envy-inducing arms
‘The day goes better after I’ve worked out’
‘I do two one-hour workouts in the week with a trainer, but not super early!’ Oh. Just two? ‘I’m the kind of person who’s always on the go. I like it that way!’ she adds. Oh, so we don’t need to workout five days a week then.
‘My trainer pushes me quite hard and never lets me get away with chickening out. At the time I hate it but I love the pay off – the rest of the day goes so much better after I’ve worked out.’
So what is Tess doing that makes her look so good in a strapless skinny dress? ‘We do all sorts – the bike, abs, weights... He’s got this machine called a SkiErg. I don’t enjoy it but it’s good for me, so I do it,’ laughs Tess. ‘He tries to get me to go faster so I visualise we’re on a mountain skiing!’
