Bristol’s Extract Coffee Roasters works closely with farmers in Peru to ensure its products are ethical and sustainable
High in the mountains of Peru, in some of the world’s most rural growing conditions, you’ll find a group of 50 farmers growing incredible coffee from lots of just 300 plants each. These farmers, chosen from a wider organic cooperative, make up one of Extract Coffee’s most sustainable partnerships. The area is extremely remote and tricky to access – coffee is often shuttled to market by scooter, one sack at a time. But the hope is to overcome the odds to produce top-quality, speciality coffee.
