SPECIAL STITCHES
Large V-stitch (lg V-st): (Dc, ch 2, dc) in indicated st.
2 treble crochet cluster (2 tr cl): *Yo hook twice, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a lp, [yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] twice, rep from * (3 lps on hook), yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook.
Tulip stitch (tulip st): (2 tr cl–see Special Stitches, ch 1) 3 times in indicated st.
V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st.
Petals: Yo, insert hook in same place as last st, draw up long lp, yo, sk next 2 sts, insert hook in next st, draw up a regular lp, yo, draw long lp through 1 lp on hook, yo and draw through all 5 lps on hook.
Single petal: Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up long lp, yo, draw through all 3 lps on hook.
Puff stitch (puff st): (Yo, insert hook, yo, draw up a lp) 3 times in same st (7 lps on hook), yo, draw through all lps on hook.
AFGHAN
Row 1 (RS): With size I hook and soft fern, ch 153 loosely, dc in 4th ch from hook (3 sk chs count as first dc), dc in each rem ch across, turn. Fasten off. (151 dc)
Row 2 (WS): Join (see Pattern Notes) fern in first dc, ch 3 (counts as first sc, ch-2), [sk next 2 dc, lg V-st (see Special Stitches) in next dc, ch 2, sk next 2 dc*, sc in next dc, ch 2] across, ending last rep at *, sc in top of turning ch, turn. Fasten off.
