Sinead and her husband have renovated and reconfigured their new home to create an amazing open plan flow throughout, perfect for family living

​When a larger five bed detached came up in the development Sinead and her family had been living in for twenty years, she and her husband jumped at the opportunity. ‘We love the location and just needed more space for our three growing boys, so when this house came onto the market, we just had to have it. Although only twenty years old, the house needed some serious TLC so we retrofitted all the insulation, electrics, plumbing etc and essentially created a new interior throughout. Everything was gone except the supporting pillar in the kitchen that holds up the corner of the house. With this pillar to deal with, we had to find a way of incorporating or concealing it in our newly configured kitchen layout.’
