Located in Terra Remota—a tumbling vineyard stretched over 54 hectares in the Emporda region of Catalonia in Spain—Marabout House, the sixth architectural exhibit by Clément Cividino there, is an intriguing 13-sided industrial-looking structure on a wooden platform at the vines’ foot. Set against the serene Albera mountains, the structure and its interiors juxtapose the soft, natural lines with taut, industrial ones. A dining table designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1968, with chairs by René Martin next to a storage unit in the same mahogany skin brew an earthy backdrop for its intended purpose as a wine-tasting room.
