We were commissioned to work on the entirety of this project, including street frontage and the extensive external entertaining areas of a cabana/granny flat, outdoor room, swimming pool and gardens.
The location of the outdoor room entertaining area was set immediately adjacent to the house and runs the full width of the property. It’s designed as a broad sunken area adjacent to the home’s indoor lounge and kitchen. This outdoor room has been developed for a big family and incorporates a large fireplace, dining and lounge area. The family also enjoys entertaining and this space can easily accommodate more than 100 people for such occasions.
The outdoor entertaining spot has pleasant views of the new cabana and fully tiled pool. It also incorporates a wall-mounted LCD television, fans and kitchenette as well as several louvred roofs that can be opened and retracted when desired. The gas fireplace is a strong visual statement, with sandstone cladding to set the mood. Wide steps leading down from the lawn area provide overflow seating for children and replicate the floating timber daybeds within the outdoor room.
