3d Architects and Interior Designers, Successfully Remodels an Old Bungalow Into a Functionally-efficient Corporate Office for Jhala Group in Pune.
Design is not always about designing from scratch! Increasingly, there is a trend to repurpose and refurbish existing structures, to take on new forms and functions. Pune-based 3D Architects and Interior Designers has incorporated these principles in this Corporate Office for real estate developer Jhala Group. Once an old residential bungalow is now converted into a stunning work space.
Designing a corporate office for a real estate builder is a challenge in itself, as the client is in the realty sector with a good understanding of what architecture is all about. The challenge is compounded when this office needs to be designed by modifying an old residential home. “It was a pleasure working on this project primarily for two reasons, the first, we were very lucky to have a client, who shared the same vision as ours; secondly, there was a challenge of designing an office space in an old load bearing structured bungalow. The brief required us to change the internal footprint according to the needs and requirements of a corporate office. Being a load bearing structure, it proved to be a massive challenge, not only for layouts, but also for introducing various services. We had great help from all the consultants to mitigate these challenges.” explains Architect Hari Agashe, Principal Architect, 3D Architects and Interior Designers.
