Don't Refrain From Singing The Refrain

Of course you know it. It’s the intensely popular, insanely overplayed and grammatically incorrect song, “Old Town Road,” by Lil Nas X, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. If you are a parent, you can “name that tune” in one note because it’s arguably the biggest song craze of the year. It had a 19-week run at the No. 1 spot in the country. A little more than two months removed from the top spot in the country, it’s still No. 1 to my 8- and 11-year-old sons.

“Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man; Front to the back, to the side if you can, can; Everybody in the house do the Bartman.”

A Cool Girl's Bedroom

WHEN DESIGNER JACY PAINTER KELLY, owner of Jacy Painter Kelly Interiors, took her family to New York City last summer, her 10-year-old daughter Lucy went crazy for the cool urban vibe of their downtown hotel room. It gave Lucy the itch to makeover her own bedroom in their Fort Mill home. She wanted more mature accents like silver wall sconces and velvet pillows, paired with punk rock elements like a graffiti-inspired bed frame and pink neon sign. Luckily her designer mom knew exactly how to tie it all together.
