‘This garden is ablaze with colour in the spring; take the winding path through ancient woodland to discover spectacular bluebells and a private beach below’
Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Open Gardens showcase stunning gardens across the county whilst raising thousands to protect wildlife and wild places in Cornwall. Throughout the season, the organisation will host 11 garden experiences thanks to this year’s official sponsor – St Eval Candle Company.
Isabella Hawkes, Open Gardens Coordinator, explains that along with old favourites, and first-timers, there’s a whole new experience to discover this year.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust will host their first ever garden safari in the village of Playing Place, between Truro and Falmouth. Visitors wander the village and explore a selection of the 11 gardens, open thanks to Kea Garden Society.
A total of 21 gardens open as part of the charity’s garden extravaganza. Expect to find wildlife havens, plant sales, home-baked cakes by the trust’s volunteers and cream teas provided by Rodda’s and Cornish Coffee.
