The Lamborghini GIRO experience is here to show you how to best utilise your weekend with a supercar.
Hotel entrances are no strangers to the scissor-doored sensationalism of Italian supercars – especially in India, where their value as driveway ornaments isn’t to be overlooked. But the sight of a small army of Lamborghinis lining up at an airport hotel can stimulate the senses better than an Adderall-infused espresso shot. With the collective hum of naturally aspirated V12s and V10s piercing the air, the flag off to Lamborghini India’s GIRO event in Hyderabad plays out like a petrolhead’s dream sequence. Not just for bystanders, but also for the participants, who find a greater sense of occasion in the waving of chequered flags and cheering crowds than the mere act of sitting inside a sub-4 crore thoroughbred. This was one of three official GIRO events held in 2018, with the first leg taking customers from Mumbai to Nashik, while another had them driving from Delhi to Jaipur and back – each starting from one of the country’s primary Lamborghini strongholds.
