On the serene grounds of Sibsan Resort & Spa Maetaeng in Chiang Mai, Kay and Danny paid homage to their cultures in a beautiful destination wedding with 140 of their friends and family.
In 2014, we met at the same company after Kay relocated from Taiwan to Bangkok for work. The first day we met, I took her out for dinner, but we had to rush through it as there was a curfew due to the military coup. It was a hectic night, but I found Kay charming and elegant. After getting to know her for a few months, I knew she was the one.
We dated for two years, and had a long distance relationship for another year after Kay returned to Taiwan. We decided to get married after I made the commitment to move to Taiwan so that we could be together.
As for our wedding, we chose to have it in Thailand, as we wanted it to be an occasion that our guests from the US and Taiwan could make a holiday of. On a previous trip, Kay and I had fallen in love with Sibsan Resort & Spa Maetaeng in Chiang Mai, Thailand – it was serene and elegant, and we liked the city’s cooling year-end climate as well.
