The journalist-turned children's author exclusively tells New Idea her three children did not attend their father Karl’s wedding ceremony, despite travelling with him to Mexico.

When asked whether Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 12, were present when the Today host and Jasmine Yarbrough exchanged vows, Cass reveals, “They were told they never had to go. My 19-year-old has assured me they did not attend.”

When pressed on why the children were in Mexico if they weren’t attending their dad’s wedding, in particular Jackson, who as an adult isn’t bound by the couple’s arrangements, Cass alludes to her ex’s much-publicised commitment ceremony last May. She intervened amid reports the kids were upset after only learning of the surprise celebrations hours before the event.

“They [had] to go [to Mexico] and my eldest son went to protect them because at the commitment ceremony they tried to force my children, remember,” she explains.
