Bella Brodie reviews this innovative new lodge from the team at Prestige & Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes
With so many holiday parks in coastal locations, there’s always a strong demand for lodges with a nautical theme. However, a good proportion of the lodges already available in this genre that are built to a residential specification were, until recently, sizeable twin units. Prestige and Home seeker spotted a gap in the market for lodges with a really beachy vibe, but at an accessible price level on the smaller park footprint that the single unit would require on such premium parks. Step forward the Seascape: duly launched in September 2016 to fill this void! It undoubtedly hits the spot and captures this sector of the market perfectly.
External features
The Seascape is a really pretty lodge that would look great on any park. But it’s so much more than that as there’s real substance there, too. Even from the outside, you can see there are some lovely features, such as the distinctive angled design to the front wall, high pitched roof and fully glazed front aspect. There are three external doors; two to the front elevation and one to the side.
Internal features
With its crisp white walls and splashes of watery pastel tones, the Seascape is more than a beach house – it’s a holiday hideaway with everything you need for a self-contained family getaway. Light floods through the large windows and patio doors, creating a feeling of space and openness. This is enhanced by the lodge’s thoughtful layout - this home’s not just easy on the eye, it’s practical, too. There are several luxurious touches throughout, illustrating the quality the Seascape is built to, such as the oak interior doors, wall panelling and feature radiators.
