Design and Build Quality
The OM-D E-M10 Mark III is a compact and lightweight camera crafted with a sturdy engineering plastic body and a matte finish complete with textured faux leather lining. Two command dials adorn the top panel along with a mode dial, Power/Flash Up switch, accessory shoe and three buttons. Overall, the camera has a neat layout with a classic look.
Key Features
The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III is a Micro Four Thirds system camera, which uses a 16.1-megapixel Four Thirds Live MOS sensor (17.3 x 13.0 mm). The sensor unit uses a supersonic wave filter to keep off dust. A built-in 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilisation system is believed to provide approximately four stops of shutter speed advantage while shooting stills and videos.
The E-M10 Mark III uses a 2.36 M-dot eye-level OLED viewfinder with a 2-axis level gauge and grids including normal, trichotomy, golden grid, scale, diagonal and movie grid. The main display is a 3.0-inch, approx. 1040-k dots electrostatic capacitance touch panel, which can be tilted up by 85 degrees and down by 45 degrees. The camera uses high-speed imager AF, utilising 121-point contrast AF method. Focus modes available are Single AF (S-AF), Continuous AF (C-AF) and Manual Focus (MF) along with tracking capability. The device features face and eye detection AF along with Peaking function.
