The Ancona Club has approximately 70 members and always enjoys good numbers of entries at both the National and the Club Show at the Federation.
On average the Club Show attracts over 100 entries annually, a proportion of which are the rosecombed variety. The large fowl rose-combs are in very few hands at the moment but the bantam variety is gaining in popularity amongst our members.
The option to have a rose or single comb in a breed might always be debatable, but some of our members have bred them for many years with much success and get a lot of pleasure out of keeping them.
