THE MUCH-awaited Lexus NX 350h arrives in India with the same, familiar allure and subtle surprises of the brand. It’s clean and simple on the outside but intricately elaborate on the inside. The Japanese carmaker seems to have put a lot of heart into the compact SUV. Its deliciously sporting personality and high-tech interior setup are something that’s straight out of a futuristic reimagination of an SUV.
SHARP PERSONALITY
Lexus prides its pursuit of originality and this is evident in how Lexus cars are, even from a distance. The exterior appearance is definitely picture-worthy, the first time you set your eyes in it. Once you’re done sucking in a gasp of air you will notice that uniquely designed Spindle Grille that gives you the illusion that the engine wants to burst out of it and charge. The depth of the grille creates the illusion of depth and therefore more bigness of the SUV than what’s in reality. A slit opening at the bottom aids cooling and performance. The 3-eye projector headlamps are paired with daytime running lights. The Lexus emblem sits in the middle of this frontal façade.
At the rear, the most noticeable attribute is the running strip of a light bar that is defined by L-shaped tail lamps. It’s a bit of a light show at night when the bar illuminates the branding.
The 2022 variant lacks the excess line on the hood and somehow the plain flat surface manages to be more alluring and domineering.
