One of the rising stars in the country music field, Catherine McGrath was born in the rural outskirts of Belfast. She’s still only 19, but her acoustic EP, One, released at the tail end of 2016, is being hailed as a formidable debut, the smart money declaring her as a contender to Taylor Swift’s country crown. “My whole family is really musical,” she tells us, “so I’ve grown up with a family who play loads of random instruments like piano, guitar and we’ve always had drums and things lying around the house.”
