Opposition TD Jennifer Whitmore has called for Mother and Baby Home survivors to be given more time to “seek the justice they deserve”.

The Social Democrats spokesperson for children is urging the Government to extend the Commission of Inquiry’s term by 12 months.

This would mean that instead of it dissolving at the end of this month, as scheduled, it would continue until February 28, 2022.
