Shreyas and Pant came up with fighting knocks, but nothing else went right for India in the first ODI in Chennai
The West Indians are on a high after the resounding win over India in the first ODI in Chennai on Sunday. Captain Kieron Pollard has reasons to hope for a repeat show but would be conscious that the Virat Kohliled Indian team will be in the mood to settle scores when the two teams clash in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Dr. YSR-ACAVDCA Stadium here on Wednesday.
West Indies will be wary of Kohli, who stands out as an exceptional leader, invariably leading from the front, especially when the chips are down. His teammates need to back him with an improved display in all departments of the game in order to keep the series alive.
India’s fortunes revolve around the top three — openers Rohit Sharma and K.L. Rahul, and Kohli at No.3.
