OLYMPIC sprinter Richard Kilty will be “devastated” if he is stripped of his silver medal after a teammate failed a drug test, says his brother.
CJ Ujah, one of Team GB’s 4x100m relay team in Tokyo, has been suspended for an anti-doping violation after testing positive for two banned substances.
Unless he can adequately explain how the substances got in his body, the whole team will lose their medals.
The rest of the team – Kilty, Zharnel Hughes and Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake – have so far not commented.
They claimed silver in Tokyo after Italy beat them by just 0.01 seconds.
