Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

bahavo jnana-tapasa
puta mad-bhavam agatah (4.10)

“Take such refuge in Me, through wisdom, not out of superstition.” There is a difference. Someone can conveniently say, “I have taken refuge in God,” and they remain in superstition, or in closed-minded fanaticism. There is no place for that. “Through wisdom, through reason, through knowledge – jnana tapasa – well versed in wisdom, well soaked in knowledge; by being purified by reason, by wisdom, they have attained Me, my dear Arjuna,” Krishna said.
