Stevens and Paul Collingwood were both shining stars for their counties and it’s brilliant for all to see.
These guys are so comfortable with their position in the team and there’s no stress in their action. They’ve been on the circuit for years and know their role inside out, so it’s no surprise to see guys perform their best cricket in their later years.
Senior players do the basics very well. They don’t worry when they’re under pressure and don’t tend to let anything faze them. They’ve seen a lot in their career so nothing comes as a surprise.
Stevo, who this week took career-best figures of 8-75, has always been a surprise with the ball. He was often seen primarily as a batsman but he puts the ball in good areas and is talented at anything he turns his arm to.
