During this period of Remembrance, the Club is honouring our serving Armed Forces and veterans by supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Spurs Remembers

As part of our activities, we are delighted to welcome 25 members of our Armed Forces Spurs Supporters’ Club – the official Supporters’ Club of the British Armed Forces – to today’s match.

Formed in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan in 2012, the club has grown to include over 200 UK service personnel worldwide, organising charity and community activities, social events and match tickets. Armed Forces Spurs is chaired by Flight Lieutenant Will Brooke, a lifelong Tottenham Hotspur fan and South Stand season ticket holder and this season, the branch has raised over £3,000 for the Poppy Appeal.

Ahead of kick-off, we shall be joined pitch side by Armed Forces Spurs members, representatives of the Royal Navy, the Army, the Royal Air Force and service veterans, who will form the guard of honour welcoming the players to the pitch.

Corporal Dave Thomson, British Army Veteran of the Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioners, Flight Lieutenant Will Brooke, and RAF Cadet Sgt Summa-Jo Bradley – representing the past, present and future of Spurs supporters serving in our Armed Forces – will then lay a Poppy wreath on the centre circle on behalf of the Club.

We shall then observe a period of silence that will start and end on the referee’s whistle, during which The Last Post will be played by a bugler from the Royal Air Force.

The team will wear special edition poppy shirts during today’s match, that will be signed and auctioned to raise money for the Poppy Appeal.

Tomorrow, Remembrance Sunday, we shall be represented by Club Ambassadors, Gary Mabbutt and Ledley King, who will lay wreaths on behalf of the Club at local Remembrance services being held in Tottenham and Wood Green.
