Once your client’s got her bridal trousseau and jewellery finalised, it’s time to get down to the details–the crowning glory! If your client is unsure of caring for her hair in the months leading up to the wedding and can’t zero in on the right Indian wedding hairstyles for her big day.
Pre-Wedding Haircare Tips
If your client has about six months on her side, she’s got enough time to give her locks the TLC they need to be her crowning glory on the big day. Here’s what needs to be done.
ADDRESS HAIR AND SCALP PROBLEMS
Whether your client has dandruff, excessive hair fall, or dry scalp, get started on the appropriate treatment option right away and be regular at it. Remember to address the root cause of the hair and scalp problems.
CUT CHEMICALS
Most shampoos contain sulphates and salts in their formula which can be extremely harsh on your client’s hair. Choose a sulphate-free, salt-free shampoo for gentle cleansing that won’t strip the hair and scalp of natural oils or rough up the cuticle. If your client is looking to colour her hair, make sure to use a gentle shampoo formulated to lock in colour and make it last. Ask your client to make her own shampoo using ingredients like shikakai, reetha, amla, and neem powder. She can also use baking soda to cleanse the scalp and remove the odour. However, remember that baking soda dries up so it can be used only as a clarifying rinse to remove build-up of chemicals. Furthermore, consider choosing henna to colour greys instead of chemicals.
