What exactly is kinesiology, you might be asking? Mind and body specialist Greg Dolman explains how our body’s inner knowing is more powerful than you might believe - and whether you consider it a little ‘woo woo’ or not, this practice (if you allow it) could open your mind and some doors in your life that you didn’t know were closed.
I have been using kinesiology for both personal and professional needs for 23 years now and there hasn't been a day when I'm not blown away by how powerful this modality can be.
Before reading this article, I would like you to understand, however, that this type of modality is not for everyone as we have to be open to what it actually is. Some individuals aren't ready for it when they hear about it, and that's okay. We tend to be open to specific things or healing modalities when we are ready for them.
For those that are not aware of what kinesiology is, let me explain what it is and how I use it, in my understanding. However, kinesiology is a complex process and I will not be able to explain it and all its shades of grey in one article, so I will give my brief understanding of the practice and how I work with it.
Before I get to the what and how, we need to look at what we are going to use kinesiology for.
We have our conscious state of mind and we also have a subconscious state of mind, or innate wisdom as some refer to it.
The subconscious mind is a very powerful tool that, when accessed, can be a source of information that can assist our conscious mind to understand more about ourselves and why we do (or don't) do certain actions or behaviours.
For me, the subconscious mind is unemotional and just tells it the way it is and should be, to the conscious mind. You know that gut feeling we sometimes get in certain scenarios? That's the subconscious mind or innate wisdom coming through. Some call this intuition or following their gut feeling. Whatever the individual's understanding, following this guidance is something that we need to do more often.
