Jane Horrocks has been working in theatre since she was in her 20s, starring in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice in 1992. ‘My kids never did a gap year but lots of their friends did, so it was just really great to be able to experience that first-hand, and it certainly didn’t fail to impress.’
However, being away from her playwright husband of nearly 25 years, Nick Vivian, and their two children, Dylan, 23, and Molly, 21, was very hard for Jane especially as the majority of the filming was done in Kuala Lumpur, a city that Jane wasn’t a fan of.
