When it comes to a wild family history, Cher and her two sons take the cake.

Their eventful past includes two divorces, two deaths, a gender transition, drug abuse, on-off estrangements, an elopement and one very protective mother.

And this year, the 75-year-old singer is determined to get her relationship with – and between – her sons Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman back on track once and for all. However, according to Woman’s Day’s insiders, she’s going entirely the wrong way about it.

One source says that while the entertainer is “mostly on good terms” with her son Chaz, 52 – who made headlines when he transitioned from Cher and her first husband Sonny Bono’s daughter to the man he is today – things haven’t been rosy with Elijah, her son with her second hubby, the late Gregg Allman.
