TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROJECT? WHAT WAS THE CONCEPT BEHIND ITS DESIGN INCEPTION?

AR13: This studio serves as the creative hub for the architects themselves, representing the first phase of their firm's construction project.

The primary objective was to create an open and versatile space that accommodates various activities as needed. Designed with adaptability in mind, the studio seamlessly transitions between work, leisure, and collaborative gatherings. It stands as a testament to the architects' commitment to experimentation, showcasing their exploration of materials, structures, openings, and finishes throughout the building.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROJECT AND WHY?

AR13: Doors take center stage in this project, with each opening carefully treated to suit its context and purpose. The bespoke glass sliding shutters, made of wood and steel, span 32 feet, seamlessly connecting the workspace and deck. Large wooden folding doors act as sunscreens, managing light and temperature.
