
A rtificial Intelligence has influenced the EV landscape. With aspirations to turn into a global automotive hub, the nation has taken a plunge. At the second edition of the EV & AutoTech Innovation Forum, this growing importance for the EV ecosystem was reiterated. Leading EV enterprises, OEMs, ODMs, electronics and sensor manufacturers, smart device infotainment manufacturers, investors, and auto sector thought leaders converged on July 25, 2024 in New Delhi to deliberate upon the road ahead. Organised by Konnect Worldwide Business Media, the daylong event, themed ‘Hello World, Disrupt the Future,’ was supported by MediaTek, the world’s leading fabless semiconductor company powering nearly two billion connected devices annually, as an AutoTech partner.
According to government data, embedded connectivity is expected to be integrated into over 80 per cent of passenger cars, while more than 70 per cent of these vehicles are projected to incorporate autonomy features by 2030. Deliberations at the forum focused on the emerging opportunities in the new-age automotive tech landscape, two wheeler trends, and hardware software integration. The emerging roadmap in EV charging technology and connected and digital cockpit, Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) and ADAS mega trends for the next decade was also in the spotlight. The panel discussions pointed at SDV drawing the attention of the auto industry think-tank. The industry is invested in finding answers to the path the future of mobility takes. Be it more Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric (CASE) driven than ever. Aman Khanna, Founder & Director, of Konnect Worldwide, deemed emobility a top priority of the government of India with a target of 30 per cent of Electric Vehicles (EVs) by 2030.
