That was in 1930. The relationship between the coachbuilder and Alfa Romeo goes back even further, to 1921, and to the first Alfa bodied by Zagatoa Type G1 - just two years after the Milanese atelier was founded. The pairing achieved legendary status with the racing SZ and TZ of the 1960s, and is fondly remembered for its small production runs of models such as the Junior Zagato series.
