It's no secret in the office that I love hatchbacks and sedans. Despite new-age SUVs, especially the mass market ones, coming precariously close to offering smile-inducing experiences from behind the wheel, I'm still a selfprofessed hatchback and sedan lover. The charm of lowering yourself into either to get behind the wheel is one that will perhaps never fade away for me. So as soon as we got confirmation from Maruti Suzuki that the new Swift will be joining our longterm test car fleet, I pulled rank and announced I'll be keeping the car! That said, except for the first-generation Swift that was launched a couple of years before I started my automotive journalism career, I can now proudly say I've had every generation of the Swift as my longterm test car!
