Coal India, in collaboration with a government-owned port and a state waterways body, has announced plans to develop an industrial water transport corridor in the eastern sector of India.
COAL INDIA'S NEW $1.46 BN INVESTMENT: AN INDUSTRIAL WATER TRANSPORT CORRIDOR

The project, estimated to cost Rs 120 billion, aims to connect two ports in Odisha state through the Brahmi River. By 2030, the corridor is expected to facilitate the transportation of 12 to 15 million tonnes of cargo.
