She's a talented actress with an adoring boyfriend, a gorgeous son and a beautiful home. But there's just one thing missing from Lucy Fallon's life - a wedding.
The Coronation Street star, 28, is mum to 14-month-old Sonny with partner Ryan Ledson, 26, who she has been dating since 2021. But Ryan still hasn't popped the question, even though Lucy's made no secret of her desire to marry him.
Now she's hoping he'll surprise her with a diamond ring. "He hasn't proposed yet, I'm still waiting," sighs Lucy. "I have dropped subtle hints but I don't want him to feel the pressure.
I want to be taken aback. And I want to be completely surprised."
Lucy's so determined to get her surprise, she's put the issue to the back of her mind. "I don't want to talk about it all the time and have a sense that he's going to do it," she says. "I'm just not going to mention it again, ever, to him. So then I'm totally taken by surprise and I can go, 'Oooooh... I was not expecting that!' Whatever he does will be the right thing. And it'll be perfect."
Work life is thriving for Lucy, who features in new ITVBe reality show Drama Queens alongside fellow soap stars Jorgie Porter, Brooke Vincent, Ellie Leach, Jamelia, Rita Simons, Laura Norton, Amy Walsh and Roxy Shahidi. The series follows the women as they go on set, walk the red carpet and enjoy precious family moments. It means Ryan will be appearing on camera, as will their little boy Sonny.
On the show, Ryan and Lucy go on a romantic adults-only break to Amsterdam. It seems like the perfect opportunity to pop the question, but things take a rather different turn.
"We do some funny things," laughs Lucy. "We went to a condom museum! There were just loads of different condoms. One had a frog on the end! It was quite a funny segment. It was just the two of us."
It might not have been the most romantic trip but it gave the new parents valuable time to reconnect.
