Behind every strong man is an even stronger woman – and Paris Fury certainly fits the bill. In this chat with OK! after her husband of 15 years, Tyson, announced she had sadly miscarried a few months into her pregnancy, the 34-year-old is ready to share her heartbreaking side of the story.
Just hours before Tyson’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in May, the 36-year-old former heavyweight world champion revealed that Paris called to tell him she wouldn’t be making the trip, citing high blood pressure – but he knew the real reason. He said, “I could not be there for her in that moment. And that is tough for me. I have been with the woman for longer than I wasn’t with her.”
Paris is already a doting mother to Prince John James, 13, Prince Tyson II, eight, and five-year-old Prince Adonis Amaziah, as well as daughters Venezuela Lynda, 15, Valencia Amber, six, and three-year-old Athena Amour, plus their youngest son, Prince Rico Paris Fury, who was born in September last year. Here, she opens up on the trauma of losing her much-wanted baby, her desire for a bigger family and her message for other women going through the same thing...
Paris, thank you for sharing your story. Can you tell us what happened?
Well, Rico was very young at the time, so I went to the doctor as I thought maybe there was a problem left behind from having him. When I went for a scan, they said, “Oh yes, something is there. Could you be pregnant?” and I replied, “No,” but evidently, I was. So it was a surprise. I’ve always said I wanted a big family, so it was good news.
Tyson was abroad for the Usyk fight but you didn’t join him. Was that on doctor’s orders because of high blood pressure?
