To look at Rochelle Humes you’d never know that she’s juggling a household with three kids, a successful children’s hair and skincare business and a busy TV career. Instead, the This Morning star looks immaculate when we meet for a chat – not a hair out of place, make-up perfect, relaxed and smiley.
“Don’t be fooled,” she laughs, as we express our disbelief. “The juggle is real!”
Rochelle, who shares daughters Alaia-Mai, 11, Valentina, seven, and son Blake, four, with hubby Marvin, is hard at work growing her brand My Little Coco, as well as hosting The Hit List on BBC One with Marvin. She’s even taken on a new role as ambassador to laundry giants Dylon. But she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I’m blessed that my job is so varied,” she says. “And lucky my mum is retired so she can help with the kids. They’re all school age now, so they’re kind of in childcare by default, so between 8.30am and 3.30pm I fit in as much as possible.”
Rochelle, 35, is still getting her head around the fact her youngest, Blake, turned four earlier this month. “I cried three times on his birthday,” she admits. “I was making a video and looking at pictures from when he was born, I was a mess! I’m not an emotional person day to day, but my kids are my weak spot. I want to wrap them in cotton wool for as long as possible.”
There are even TV jobs that she’d turn down if it meant having to judge children.
