Cheeku Wins the Race

Cheeku was a bit lazy and loved sleeping. When he got back from school, he would go off to sleep and wake up only in the evening. He would not wake up on time.
His mother would tell him, "You should give up your lazy ways. It is because of laziness that your grandfather lost the race to Terry's grandfather back in the day. It is hard to forget that defeat."
"Lazy people are never successful in life. They always have to face failure," she warned him.
Cheeku never paid attention to his mother's advice. He wanted to overcome his laziness but as soon as he slept off, he would be lost in his dreams.
Terry, on the other hand, was addicted to video games. Whenever he had time, he would ask his mother for her phone and start playing games. He needed spectacles now because of excessive screen time.
"It is not good to stay glued to the phone for such a long time. Go and play outdoors. Your grandfather was so healthy. He won the race against Cheeku's grandfather. You are constantly playing video games. You should go out, run, and exercise," Terry's mother often advised him.
All this made no sense to Terry. As soon as he got the chance, he would go back to playing video games.
It was Sunday. Cheeku and Terry met in the playground as usual. He had downloaded a new game on his mother's phone, which he carried along.
