LIKE FATHER, like daughter....

CASUALTY SATURDAY, 8.25PM, BBC1 DRAMA

Enigmatic clinical lead Max Cristie and his estranged daughter, party-loving nurse Jodie Whyte, have found themselves at the heart of the action since their separate arrivals to Holby ED earlier this year.

While fans of BBC1’s BAFTA-winning medical drama Casualty have known the truth about their family connection for a while, on the wards, however, false rumours continue to swirl that Max (played by Nigel Harman) and Jodie (Anna Chell) are romantically involved.

With their big secret threatened to be exposed in this week’s high-stakes episode, stars Nigel and Anna joined TV Times for an exclusive photo shoot on the show’s set in Cardiff followed by a fun interview in which they shared their take on what lies ahead for their characters…

So, first things first: did you enjoy our special photo shoot?

NIGEL It’s been a good laugh. Back in my EastEnders days [Nigel played fan favourite Dennis Rickman in the BBC1 soap from 2003 to 2005], I remember doing shoots for TV Times, which I look back on fondly. So coming back to do it again with Anna is really fun.

ANNA This is my first photo shoot for a magazine! Doing it with Nigel was sweet, because I wasn’t on my own. I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Have you also been busy filming today?

ANNA I was in the first two scenes and now I’m done, so I’m going to enjoy sunny Cardiff! Every time Nigel and I film scenes together, I feel straight away that there’s something for me to play off, because Jodie’s dad is in the room.
