If there's one thing to know about Dior Beauty, it's that the maison has a keen eye for colour-whether it's the attention-grabbing bright pink of the Rosy Glow Blush or the strawberry-red of the Lip Glow created for Jisoo's birthday. And all of that vividness translates beautifully on the skin. Now, that mastery of colour becomes most apparent in the latest revamp of the Rouge Dior range, which features 70 different shades in two finishes - 35 of which are available here.
"How do you tackle something that's already really good without disappointing your loyal consumers, and at the same time, improve it in a way that's intentional and make it an improvement that they're willing to embrace? That was the question I had in mind when it came to the revamp," says Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup. Ahead, an exclusive interview with the beauty maestro on curating the shades for the range (and his favourites), how the relationship between femininity and makeup has evolved, and what's new for 2024.
What's new in the relaunch of Rouge Dior?
Let's start first with the packaging. We kept the refill packaging of course, and the new one is actually a little slimmer and feels more elegant, and we put the classic cannage on top like a little hat that makes it a little more luxurious. And it slips close very smoothly. It's a very beautiful slim case with all the codes that are associated with the house of Dior - the fact that it looks more elegant is appreciated.
