VERY DEMURE, VERY MINDFUL

The OG Kapoor sister on journalling, deep breathing, and practising yoga

For many of us, resting means bed rotting while bingewatching our favourite show, which actually is a very surfacelevel approach. True rest entails being mindful even in the smallest moments of your day-to-day life and taking time out to pause and relax – a philosphy Karisma Kapoor firmly believes in.

Having become the new face of Estée Lauder’s #NightDoneRight Campaign, Lolo sits down with us to talk about her evolving definition of self-care, how she unwinds, and what makes her night-time regimen sacred.

GRAZIA: How would you describe your ideal unwinding routine after a hectic day at work?

KARISMA KAPOOR: As someone who’s constantly on the go – whether it’s working on set or balancing family and professional life – unwinding is an essential ritual for me. My ideal routine starts with quality time spent with my loved ones, followed by some much-needed ‘me-time’. I focus on self-care, play some soothing music, and indulge in my skincare routine. Taking these moments at the end of the day really helps me feel grounded and ready to tackle whatever comes next.

G: What’s one thing you’re planning to incorporate in your lifestyle for better wellbeing in 2025?

KK: In 2025, my focus is on prioritising rest – not just sleep, but genuine rest for both my mind and body. I’ve realised how vital it is to pause and recharge, so I’m working on maintaining a consistent sleep schedule and being mindful of things. Whether it’s journalling, taking a few deep breaths between tasks, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, these little practices make a world of difference.

G: How has your skincare routine evolved from your 20s to now?
