A sense of weightlessness beautifully permeates every corner of this minimalist home in a heritage, art deco building in Colaba, Mumbai.
Varun Goyal, of the eponymous design atelier, creates a home for a young, introverted couple that accommodates, grows and enables their grounded lifestyle.
From the warmth of wood to the lightness of white, this 2,500sqft home in Colaba, Mumbai, is a cocoon mainly made up of these primary elements.
And there’s a conscious reason behind it. It’s the sea view around which he hinged the look, feel, materiality and tonality. Yes, the view inspired the design.
Varun explains, “The design connects with nature and enhances the sea view.
We created a contemporary and minimalist canvas with ample storage solutions and a timeless aesthetic that allows the family to adapt and evolve.”
