Over the years, my idea of the dream wedding has changed many times, but some things remain the same: The look of love my partner and I would share as we walk down the aisle, the gentle touch of our fingers as we slide on our rings, and the swelling of my heart as we lock lips to seal the deal. I know exactly how I want to feel at my wedding, but I also know that if I’m not careful, the happiest day of my life can easily turn into the most stressful. And on a day when an errant detail could set me off (like seeing freesias when you asked for magnolias), I’m going to need as much help as I can get.
Enter The Westin Singapore, located right smack in the centre of the Marina Bay District. I have spent many a good holiday in a Westin property, and so it should make sense that the most important day of my life be spent within its sleek, modern interiors and its sparkling view of the Singapore skyline. Any doubts I may have had are quelled when I sit down with the hotel’s wedding specialist, Tan Yan Hui, who keenly listens to my vision for my wedding and offers suggestions for the big day.
