Sharyn Becker, 53, Central Coast, NSW
Sitting on a train on the way home from Sydney, I was filled with enthusiasm.
I'd just visited a charity called Fitted for Work, in Parramatta, NSW, with women from a group called BPW, Business and Professional Women, from the NSW Central Coast.
Fitted for Work help disadvantaged women find and maintain employment.
'We need something like that on the Coast,' I said, inspired. 'And I'm going to make it happen.' It was August 2018, and I'd been involved in community work for 30 years, and already oversaw an op-shop in a community centre in Wyong.
Women doing it tough came in to see a financial counsellor, grab a food pack, and pop into the op shop.
