Some people are born to do something and where ever they may come from, they rise up to the world and move beyond the common and then they elevate the world around them to their level of existence at a higher plane. Bikram Singh is one such maestro who personifies that. He takes the listener a much higher plane than mundane existence with his rendition of the divine instrument, The Flute. That he was born in the North East of India only adds to the picture one gets in mind while listening to his performances. Santhosh: You have had a very exciting and accomplished musical journey so far, how do you see it yourself?

Bikram Singh: I had been playing flute since 1974 as a small child and started playing for all India Radio, National tv, all kind of recordings since I was 13. Then never looked backed. Had played some of the best band in India. I’m really enjoying my journey with flute.

Santhosh: Who influenced you to pick up flute and when did you decide that music is your career for life?
