TWO goals from birthday boy Marvin Armstrong helped Barnet battle back from going a goal behind and see off the formidable challenge of NPL Premier leaders Radcliffe.

MARVIN'S BIG DAY FOR BEES

Boro, in their first ever foray into the fourth round, took a 37th-minute lead through Anthony Dudley, only for Armstrong to level just before the break.

Both sides had efforts cleared off the line after the break but Armstrong proved the saviour of the National League high-flyers with a 66th-minute winner.

“It’s a fantastic victory for us,” Barnet boss Dean Brennan said. “A really tough plavce to come and we’ve come up against a team who are flying at the moment, their form has been amazing.

“That was a big test for us but our players stood up to that test today.

“We’ve been hit by a big injury crisis at the club right now so we put out a very young team. To come through this test is huge for us.”
