Anger as thousands of children left in B&B-style accommodation

MORE than 6000 families with children have been living in temporary accommodation for at least a year.

And 420 of that number have been in housing limbo for three years or more, figures show.

The situation risked having a "devastating impact" on youngsters, warned Labour's housing spokesman Mark Griffin, who demanded "urgent action" from the Scottish Government.

His remarks came after the answer to a parliamentary question revealed 6135 households with children had been left in housing limbo for at least a year.
