AN OFFSHORE worker who threw a paper cup at a footballer during a Scottish Premiership match was yesterday fined £790.
Zack Griffiths, 25, was also banned from attending all matches for three years after pleading guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner during a fixture at Celtic Park in December 2021.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that in the match between Celtic and Hearts, which the Glasgow team won 1-0, Griffiths, from Aberdeen, threw the cup at Hearts winger Barrie McKay.
