BRITAIN has sent long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine ahead of the counter-offensive against Russian forces.
UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace yesterday confirmed the move which is a significant step-up in support for Kyiv.
The 620mph cruise missiles can hit targets 155 miles away, three times further than the Himars already used by Ukraine.
Storm Shadow has stealth capabilities that can evade radar defences.
Wallace told MPs: "This is a calibrated and proportionate response to Russia's escalation."
He added: "Russia must recognise that their actions alone have led to such systems being provided to Ukraine."
