AN Edinburgh street famed for its classic Georgian architecture is the most expensive address to buy a home in Scotland for the second year in a row.

Ann Street was named as the priciest by the Bank of Scotland, with buyers forking out more than £1.68million on average.

Golf Place in St Andrews was second on the list, with homes changing hands for about £1.61million.

Wester Coates Avenue in Edinburgh was third with average prices of more than £1.5million.
