THE bright lights of Hollywood have been replaced by an apocalyptic glow as ferocious wildfires tear through A-list stars' homes, leaving devastation and despair in their wake.

The celebrity-filled enclaves now resemble war zones, with once-luxurious mansions reduced to smouldering ruins.

Last night, out-of-control fires continued to sweep across the area as firefighters and America's National Guard battled the blaze.

Among devastated properties is the iconic Will Rogers Ranch, a piece of Hollywood history now reduced to cinders.

Actor Sir Anthony Hopkins has been mourning the loss of his Malibu home, which he had described as his sanctuary by the sea.

The Silence of the Lambs star bought the £4.9million home in the Pacific Palisades area in 2021. It was reduced to charred remains, with little more than a scorched fence still standing.

Nearby, music mogul David Geffen's sprawling estate was also consumed by the relentless flames.
