A GOWN worn by Princess Diana in 1985 has sold at a Hollywood auction for a record one million dollars.
The ballerina-length Jacques Azagury velvet evening dress fetched 11 times the guide price of $100,000 (£78,776).
Worn by Diana in Italy during a royal tour with then-husband Prince Charles, it sold at Julien's Auctions for $1,148,080 (£904,262), making it the most expensive of her dresses to sell under the hammer.
